Japanese automaker Isuzu unveiled the updated D-Max for the Thai market called V-Cross. Sure, the all-new Isuzu D-Max only arrived in the country earlier this year. But it has been around in the Isuzu Thailand lineup for quite some time now so one can say that it is due for at least a subtle makeover for the 2022 model.
2022 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross
The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is installed with a new Double Dimension front grille that comes with thinner fangs but a larger overall finish. This helps highlight the truck-like proportions of the D-Max at the front. Meanwhile, the rear end comes with new blacked-out housing for the LED combination taillights for added rugged texture.
To complement the new taillight housings, the pickup truck can offer its door handles, side steps, roof rails, and wheel arches in either gray or black. The new set of 18-inch wheels also gets a matte black finish that goes along with the subtle updates. Isuzu Thailand is offering the D-Max V-Cross with a new Islay Gray Opaque to complete the new look.
New two-tone interior
Moving to the interior, the new Thai-spec D-Max only gets subtle updates as well. It offers a new two-tone black and brown leather upholstery with brown contrast stitching. Also, the driver and front passenger now benefit from a new seat ventilated function.
Some of the notable features that the pickup truck still offers include Bi-LED project headlights with LED daytime running lights (DRLs), LED fog lamps, remote engine start system, 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, 9-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and eight speakers.

As for the powertrain, no changes have been made. As such, the truck is still powered by a 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX turbodiesel engine capable of generating 187 hp and 450 Nm of torque. It can be paired to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission with Sequential Shift manual mode.
Comes out even more aggressive
The new Isuzu D-Max V-Cross comes with a price increase which is expected for updated models. It now starts at 867,000 baht (or around Php 1.315 million) and goes up to 1,172,000 baht (or around Php 1.778 million).
