After months of waiting, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is scheduled to launch the all-new 2021 Fortuner. The event will take place on October 17, 2021, so mark your calendars to welcome the fresh new version of the Hilux-based SUV.

To say goodbye to the old Toyota Fortuner, TMP is also offering a Php 120,000 cash discount for the G Diesel AT, and up to Php 60,000 for the rest of the old Fortuner variant lineup. You’ll even get a Php 30,000 sales rebate if you reserved one within the span of October 1 to October 10.

Apart from the exterior changes, the new 2021 Fortuner will get loads of new features.

Back to the Toyota Fortuner 2021. Although it isn’t confirmed yet, TMP might be introducing three new variants. These include the 2.8-liter Q Diesel, which will look identical with the new V and G variants. The other two are the 4x2 and 4x4 versions of the very distinct looking Fortuner LTD, which will stand as the new top-of-the-line variant of the midsize Toyota SUV.

According to what was reported on the 2021 Fortuner, the LTD and Q variants will be equipped with several new high-tech features. They will come with Toyota Safety Sense plus adaptive cruise control. The V and G variants will also have their own set of improvements. And yes, all variants of the new Fortuner will get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well.

The Fortuner Legender will be called the LTD here in the Philippines.

Another significant change to the 2021 Fortuner is that Toyota will be dropping the gasoline engine for the said model. That being said, the engines available for the new Fortuner will be the 2.4-liter and 2.8-liter diesels. Toyota also made improvements to the 2.8-liter diesel. Its maximum output has grown a bit at 201 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque.

Like TMP’s recent launch events, we’re pretty sure that the 2021 Toyota Fortuner’s launch will be held online. That being said, this can provide an opportunity for more people to attend, albeit virtually. Many, after all, are very excited to see the new Fortuner.
