The 2021 model of the GAC GM8 is getting a facelift in China and it looks more luxurious than ever. The Chinese carmaker is offering two variants for the new GM8, namely the Master and Leader Series.
The biggest change that the GM8 received is its new grille design. The two GM8 variants have their own distinct grille designs. The GAC GM8 Master variant gets a massive cheese-grater grille that extends from the hood all the way to the lower front bumper.

Meanwhile, the GAC GM8 Leader variant gets a similar grille design as the pre-facelift model. However, the vertical slats now extend to the bumper. Both GM8 variants get a chrome trim that runs from each end of the front bumper.
Inside, the new GAC GM8 is installed with leather materials that give the minivan its luxurious feel. Behind the wheel is a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the infotainment screen has now been replaced by a new 10.1-inch touchscreen.

Powering the new GAC GM8 is a new 2.0-liter turbocharged engine capable of producing 247 hp and 390 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a new 8-speed automatic transmission.

As for pricing, the top-spec GM8 Leader variant is priced at 264,800 yuan (or about Php 1,880,245 excluding local taxes). If GAC Philippines decided to bring in the new GM8, it would make the luxury MPV segment even more exciting that includes vehicles such as the likes of the Toyota Alphard.
