The GAC GM8, also known as the Trumpchi GM8 in other parts of the world, was revealed at the 2017 Guangzhou International Motor Show. It is the Chinese company’s flagship MPV and the largest passenger automobile in their impressive lineup.
In the Philippines, the GAC GM8 was introduced on November 7, 2018 during the company’s brand launch.

The GAC GM8 measures 5,066mm long, 1,923mm wide, and 1,822mm tall with a wheelbase of 3,000mm. Upfront, it is designed with a chrome-finished grille paired with upswept headlights and fog lamps. Its durable and bulky body, accentuated with sleek lines, contemporary curves, roof rack and side skirts, possesses a detailed and refined elegance that will surely make head turns. Its back features modern LED tail lights and chrome tail pipes.
Supporting this finely crafted van is a set of 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels.
As expected, the cabin of the GAC GM8 is sophisticatedly roomy and can accommodate seven passengers. They are spoiled with highlights such as wide legroom and knee space, top of the line interior materials in dark olive and light gray satin, electric-adjustable seats with massage features, steering wheel with controls, seven-inch LCD at the center console, automatic sliding doors, three-zone automatic air control with ion filter, panoramic sunroof, atmosphere lights with 32 colors choices, and LCD screens with stereo at the rear.

Infotainment inside the GAC GM8 is provided by a 10.1-inch color display with Bluetooth connectivity and Apple CarPlay.

The GAC GM8 is a front-engine, front-wheel-drive mini powered by an efficient 2.0-liter four-cylinder V16 engine mated with a six-speed automatic transmission. It is guaranteed to produce 199 horsepower with 320 Newton meters.
