Launch
The Kia Rio was introduced worldwide in 1999. The first generation was made to replace the Kia Pride and the Ford Festiva. The second generation was widely supported in the United Kingdom and North America. An acclaimed global version was released in its third generation. It was fitted with an engine that releases the lowest carbon dioxide emission during that time but produces the highest miles per gallon. The 2011 to 2017 model received many awards such as Carsguide’s Car of the year for 2011.
On its fourth generation, the all-new Kia Rio Hatchback was conceptualized in the company’s California and Germany design centers. It is offered in two different models: the global model and a specific model for China and Russia. In the Philippines, the Kia Rio Hatchback is offered either with manual or automatic transmissions.
