Worldbex Services International (WSI), the organizer of the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), has officially rescheduled the highly anticipated car show to April 8 to 11, 2021. MIAS is one of the largest motor shows in the Philippines that is held annually since 2005.
MIAS 2020 was first postponed on March 9 to ensure the safety and well-being of its stakeholders, exhibitors, and valued visitors.
It was initially rescheduled to April 2 to 5 but due to the rising COVID-19 cases in the country, WSI decided to temporarily delay the auto show until further notice.

Now, WSI has officially called off this year’s MIAS to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone. As of this writing, the number of COVID-19 cases in the country continues to rise.
Also, the mass gathering is not allowed under the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) or even under the Modified Community Quarantine (MGCQ). In addition, the supposed venue of this year’s MIAS, the World Trade Center, has been transformed into a COVID-19 quarantine facility.
Last year, the Manila International Auto Show garnered a record number of 142,000 showgoers. It featured cars like the Jaguar F-PACE, Jeep Compass, Hyundai Palisade, and Hyundai Kona.
Car dealerships resorted to online launching to continue engagement with valued customers
Many car dealerships have conducted an online launching of their models as part of the new normal. Car brands such as Geely and Toyota have used the online platform in launching its respective new car models.
As a review, Geely launched the Azkara online last May, while Toyota will also be launching the new Wigo online. On the other hand, some dealerships have set up online showrooms and tools to accommodate customers amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
WSI continues to thank everyone who took part in the preparation of the annual auto show, as well as those who understood the apparent situation the country is dealing with right now.
