Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) introduced the new Honda City in the Philippines last 2020 with a new design that looks snazzy for an economical option in the market. That said, it is just right to choose the perfect body color option for your subcompact sedan to further highlight the design changes of the fifth-generation model.
Honda City RS Crystal Black Pearl
If you are thinking of buying the Honda City, then considering its body color should be at the top of your list considering that repainting cost quite some money. The Honda City 2021 colors offered in the Philippines total to six options. However, not every color is available to all variants.
So with that being said, we have listed down all of the available color options offered by HCPI in its subcompact sedan entry in the country. Take note that unlike some models in the local market, the colors offered for the Honda City don’t come with an extra cost so you should choose the option that you truly want.
Honda City 1.5 S MT
We’ll start this list off with the body color options of the base variant of the Japanese subcompact sedan. The Honda City colors for the 1.5 S MT variant includes three option, namely the Crystal Black Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, and Taffeta White, making this variant the one that offers the least options.
Honda City Taffeta White
Both the door handles and door mirrors in the base variant are body-colored so you don’t have to worry much about contrasting colors. But you have to keep in mind that the front grille is designed with a chrome finish, while parts of the front fascia are designed in black.
With those exterior details in mind, opting for the 2021 Honda City in Crystal Black Pearl could be a good choice to highlight the chrome grille up front. Since the door handles and door mirrors are body-colored, you will get an all-black appeal which creates a premium and sophisticated look, if you are a fan of that.
Honda City Modern Steel Metallic
If you are not a fan of black, then you can opt for a lighter body color offered by the Taffeta White. Only the S MT and S CVT offer this type of body color. You can enjoy the benefits of owning a white car if you pick this body color including a cleaner look as dirt, scratches, and dust are likely to be hidden from sight, and it reflects sunlight which can keep the cabin cooler, especially during the summer season.
Honda City 1.5 S CVT
Second option on this list is the Honda City 1.5 S CVT which comes with a total of four color options. You can drive home the subcompact sedan in one of the following body color options: Crystal Black Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Taffeta White, and Ignite Red Metallic.
Just like the baseline variant, the exterior details of the Honda City S CVT are still body-colored. The only difference between this variant and the first one on the list is that this is offered with two news options which are the Lunar Silver Metallic and Ignite Red Metallic.
Honda City Luna Silver Metallic
So if you are that type of person who doesn’t want his/her car to look like the most affordable option, then you should go for either the Lunar Silver Metallic and Ignite Red Metallic. But considering that the grille in this variant is finished in chrome as well, opting for the Lunar Silver Metallic should complement the front fascia.
The Honda City color in Lunar Silver Metallic is the choice to go if you want a bright color, but not as bright as the appearance offered by the Taffeta White. If the Lunar Silver Metallic doesn’t appeal to you, then you can go for the Ignite Red Metallic which provides an aggressive and sportier finish to the overall design.
Honda City 1.5 V CVT
HCPI is also offering the Honda City 1.5 V CVT, a variant that comes with color options such as the Crystal Black Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Ignite Red Metallic. Looking at the options, the only new and exclusive body color that is not available to the lower S variants is the Platinum White Pearl.
Honda City Platinum White Pearl
The Platinum White Pearl body color replaces the Taffeta White in the roster. Comparing the two white colors, the Platinum White Pearl looks less bright as compared to the Taffeta White. However, the Platinum White Pearl helps highlight the subcompact sedan’s aggressive character lines better, as well as its standard chrome door handles.
In addition, it is designed with ivory trims in the interior, an exclusive feature available in this variant only. That said, opting for the Honda City color in Platinum White Pearl body color is arguably the best pick. The Platinum White Pearl body color complements the distinctive interior of the said variant.
