The year 2022 has been considered by many as somewhat of a return to normalcy. It was the period after the series of COVID-19 shutdowns and quarantines if you will.
2022 saw the return of huge car events like MIAS
This fact was thus observed in the Philippine automotive industry during that same year. Specifically, we saw the return of large physical events like the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), and the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), among others.
Plenty of brands also managed to hold their in-face events like car launches, media drives, etc. These events meant more brand visibility and more ways for people to get closer to the car models they had been eyeing for so long.
This of course is evident from the fact a report from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) said that the number of total car sales in the country has jumped up to 352,596 units for 2022. That’s a massive 31.3 percent increase over the 2021 total sales figure, which in turn clocked in at 268,488.
So this begs the question - what are the top 5 car brands in the Philippines in 2022? Here are the details.
