Worldbex Services International proudly announced that the 2022 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) has returned successfully after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
The MIAS officially made its return this year
More than 120,000 visitors graced the four-day motoring event from April 7 to 10 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. It showcased some of the most exciting new cars we can expect to see soon on Philippine roads, as well as various booths that can aid Filipinos with their car ownership experience.
“Worldbex Services International is glad to announce that we were able to surpass our performance targets for the recently concluded 2022 Manila International Auto Show held at the World Trade Center last weekend,” said Worldbex Services International Managing Director Jill Ang.
New car launches made headlines on the first day
As the market for crossovers keeps on growing, automakers grabbed the opportunity to feature their own entries at the biggest annual motoring event in the country. Some of these include the Subaru Forester facelift, revamped Changan CS35 Plus, updated Geely Coolray, larger MG HS, new Peugeot 2008, and Chevrolet Tracker.
Performance vehicles also took the spotlight as Subaru Philippines debuted the all-new BRZ which now has more power over the outgoing model. GAC Motor Philippines also premiered the new EMPOW55, a smart sports sedan that can run from zero to 100 km/h in 6.95 seconds.
Visitors saw a wide array of vehicles on display
These vehicles were featured at the MIAS Main Hall, along with accessory distributors and enthusiast-oriented products. Light and heavy-duty trucks were displayed at the North Wing of the venue, while its East Wing hosted aftermarket vendors with modified and custom-tuned vehicles. As for the outdoor area, it served as the test drive site and the platform for the Subaru-Russ Swift Stunt Show.
Philkotse.com also joined the country’s biggest motoring event as our team’s booth gave fuel vouchers and other freebies. Philkotse personalities including Philkotse’s own Senpai ng Turbuhan Stanley Chi and Kambyo Boy Next Door Martin Aguilar graced the booth, and held a Meet and Greet with fans on the third day of the exhibit.
Philkotse was there to see the action at the 2022 MIAS
Overall, the 2022 MIAS features more than 200 cars and trucks, over two dozen motorcycles, and more than 100 exhibitors. With the successful four-day event, Worldbex Services International is already looking to keep the momentum going for next year.
“We look forward to progressing back to normal and holding the 2023 MIAS sometime in April,” concluded Ang.
