Volkswagen's premium van starts at P3.595 million.

Volkswagen Philippines announced that the returning Multivan Kombi is officially available in the local market in the form of the T6 model (sixth-generation). It is packed with premium features inside and out to enable the renowned German van to become a reflection of success and prestige in the country.

Volkswagen Philippines president Felipe Estrella III said the Mutlivan Kombi is a premium van that can be used both for business during the weekdays, and for leisure drives on weekends. Estrella added that the new Kombi is packed with safety features, which aims to deliver a more pleasant and safer drive.  This seem to be much better than the Toyota Hiace model which has been popular in the Philippines.

Exterior

Assembled in its homeland Europe, the German automaker brought in the exclusive top-of-the-line Multivan Kombi. It is fitted with LED headlights, and daytime running lights, which complements the horizontal chrome grille. The Volkswagen Multivan Kombi is also equipped with a power tailgate to provide easier access to its rear cargo space. At the sides, the van’s dual power side doors welcome passengers into its premium cabin with ease.

Take note that the Multivan Kombi units in the country currently have a limited supply only. These are available in three body colors: Reflex Silver, Black Pearlescent, and the Bi-Color Reflex Silver/Starlight Blue. Other color variants are also made available via special order only.

Interior

Inside, it is upholstered with Nappa leather to create a premium cabin theme. Both the front and second-row passengers get to benefit from captain chair seats that can swivel to the best and most comfortable position. Meanwhile, the third-row seats can comfortably accommodate three passengers which come with a recline/slide function.

Tech & Safety

The Volkswagen Multivan Kombi gets an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen that features Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. Volkswagen's premium van is also equipped with a digital instrument cluster, an automatic climate control, multi-function table, and park assist, rear camera, hill start assist, and electronic stability program. Of note, the new Kombi features several driving modes to choose from such as Normal, Comfort, Sport, Eco, and Individual (a customize set-up). The premium van also has a total of six airbags.   

Engine & Performance

The PH-spec Volkswagen Multivan Kombi is powered by a 2.0-liter Turbocharged Direct Injection (TDI) diesel engine capable of generating 148 hp and 340 Nm of torque. Its engine is coupled to a seven-speed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) with Tiptronic function and coasting feature to assure less shift fatigue for drivers.

Pricing

Volkswagen Philippines is offering the 2021 Multivan Kombi at a starting price of Php 3,595,000 for the Monocolor exterior finish. The two-tone Multivan Kombi comes with a sticker price of Php 3,640,000. Volkswagen PH is offering three standard exterior colors of the Multivan Kombi: Black Pearlescent, Reflex Silver, and the two-tone Reflex Silver/Starlight Blue Metallic. Volkswagen said that the next batch of delivery of the Multivan Kombi is underway. The next batch of the new Kombi's will include an additional standard exterior color, which is the two-tone Reflex Silver/Fontana Red.
