The next-generation Ford Territory has officially launched for the Philippine market at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). Being a full model change, it gets plenty of improvements from the inside and out.

Aside from the updated design, the next-gen 2023 Ford Territory has grown in size. It is 50mm longer and 32mm taller than the outgoing model. Moreover, the wheelbase and the ground clearance increased by 10mm.

Exterior
The next-gen Territory gets two different variants in the form of the entry-level Titanium and the top-spec Titanium X. Both are similar visually with some slight variances, but these two both assume a more assertive SUV-like design.
The all-new Territory from the rear
Present on the front of the all-new Territory is a pair of LED headlamps with auto on/off function, and LED daytime running lamps. The latter comes in an inverted L-shape design and is eye-catching. The lighting elements then complement the vehicle’s large honeycomb grille.
The side of this new Ford model then comprises smooth lines with an ample number of SUV-like details. Its windows as well as the door handles are wrapped in chrome to provide the vehicle with a degree of elegance. Meanwhile, the lower side portion and the wheel arches are topped off with black plastic claddings as well as a rocker panel.

Its rear end then gets inverted L-shaped LED taillights to mirror the front end. Further enhancing the rear is a spoiler and rear fog lamps.
Exclusive to the top-spec Titanium X are puddle lamps, a hands-free power tailgate, and a panoramic moonroof.
Wrapping up the look of the 2023 Territory is a set of new wheels. For the Titanium X, it gets a 19-inch set while the entry-level Titanium comes with an 18-inch set.

For the front cabin, its array of standard equipment includes a push-to-start button with a smart entry system, a tilt and telescopic steering column, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a number of USB charging ports, a wireless smartphone charging pad, among others.
The next-gen Ford Territory also comes with a digital gauge cluster, standard on both trims. It also has a 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat but only the top-spec Titanium X comes with ventilated front seats.

All five occupants of the Territory are then kept cool via a dual-zone automatic climate control system with air vents for the second row. The top-spec variant then comes with perforated leather seating.
Tech & Safety
Handling crash safety for the all-new Territory are a total of six airbags, anti-lock braking, traction control, hill-launch assist, hill-descent control, rollover mitigation, parking sensors, and a tire pressure monitor.

On top of those, this next-gen Ford model also gets blind spot monitoring, a 360-degree view monitor, tire pressure monitoring, and enhanced active park assist as standard.
Only the top-spec Territory Titanium X gets adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, autonomous braking, collision mitigation, and lane keep assist.
12-inch touchscreen headunit
Providing the entertainment needs of the 2023 Territory’s occupants is a 12-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The top-spec trim gets eight speakers, while the entry-level trim gets six.
Engine & Performance
Under the hood of the all-new 2023 Ford Territory is a 1.5-liter EcoBoost gasoline engine that’s good for 158 horsepower and 248 Nm of torque. Power is sent to its front wheels via a seven-speed wet-type dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Stopping power for this model is provided by disc brakes for all four wheels. Ride quality and handling are then managed by a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension.
Price
