As we’ve reported before, Honda is indeed developing the 11th-generation 2022 Honda Civic. Last year, the Japanese brand debuted the prototype, and further news about it soon followed.
The production model of the Chinese-spec 2022 Civic even got some exposure due to government regulations. Suffice to say, many are excited about this model. It is, after all, a marque with a rich history.
In a more official manner, however, Honda has offered to show off the production 2022 Honda Civic’s exterior design. This is in part, connected to the prep work being undertaken by Honda of Canada Mfg., in Alliston, Canada to start the model’s mass production.

With regards to the design, Honda says that its engineers sought out to maximize the space needed for the car’s mechanical bits while providing an optimal environment for the car’s passengers and driver. As such, we can guess that it might be offering more in the way of usable space and practicality.
The upcoming 2022 Honda Civic largely retains the low-slung, sporty stance of the previous model, but it’s more sophisticated-looking now. The front-end is a departure from the aggressive angularity of the current version. Instead, it features a sleeker, cleaner-looking design.
Gone also are the faux vents, and the sharper headlamps appear to be more parallel with the car. The lower bumper also features a classier-looking grille, which looks more solid than the mesh-type grille than the outgoing model comes with.

With all of that said, the 2022 Honda Civic will be arriving at North American dealerships sometime in summer, which could be as early as June. As for the Philippine market, we still have to wait for Honda Cars Philippines Inc. to officially confirm the model’s local debut.
Also of note is the Honda Civic Tour, which is an annual concert tour hosted by Honda of America. The said event is back and is going virtual, so Civic fans from all around the world can participate. It will be streamed on April 28 on the Live Nation Channel on Twitch. The second part of the said event will be streamed on the Honda Stage YouTube Channel sometime in June.
