Maxus is joining the ever-competitive compact crossover segment.

Since its entry into the local market in June 2019, Maxus has been making great strides. Since then it has introduced cars like the V80 van, the T60 pickup truck, as well as the G10 and G50 MPVs.

That said, these cars present great value for a buyer’s money since they are affordable, and are chock full of on-board features.

Look at that fancy looking grille

Fast forward to the present, and it’s evident that the car industry as a whole has been beleaguered by the COVID-19 epidemic. Despite that, Maxus is moving onwards to expand its dealership network, as well as launching another vehicle. This time, it’s the Maxus D60 compact crossover.

Being a Maxus, the D60 carries the same familiar exterior look. The large Maxus logo is present, and it is complemented by a pair of LED “split matrix” headlamps that look a bit similar to ones aboard the Maxus G50. The grille, however, comes with a “dark cobweb” design, which is unique to the D60. It uses a very organic looking latticework pattern that gets more focused on the middle where the Maxus logo is positioned.

Towards the rear, the look of the upcoming Maxus crossover is tied up with a pair of very modern looking diamond taillights, as well as a set of two-tone alloy wheels. And finally, the rear is given a roof-mounted spoiler, and the roof comes with rails for added utility.

With regards to the roof rails, it’s a clear sign that the Maxus D60 is going to be a versatile vehicle with endless possibilities. In other words, it’s a very stylish looking vehicle that won’t let you down when it comes to practicality and ease of use.

The launch of the D60 is a bold statement on the part of Maxus. The local compact crossover market is highly competitive and is highly populated by very enticing choices.
