The Toyota Yaris Cross is launching for the Philippine market on August 4, 2023, at Bonifacio High Street in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig City.
The all-new 2024 Toyota Yaris Cross will be debuting for the local market on August 4
During the upcoming event, the Yaris Cross will be joined by its fellow hybrids within the Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) model lineup. This includes the Camry, Corolla Altis, Corolla Cross, RAV4, and Zenix.
TMP confirmed the Yaris Cross’ arrival via a press statement. Furthermore, it was stated that the brand is already accepting reservations for the all-new compact crossover.
The brand went on to claim that this upcoming crossover is the “best-packaged electrified vehicle yet,” and it is seen as a means for TMP to further promote electrified car models to buyers.
According to TMP first Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations Danny Cruz, the introduction of the Yaris Cross will boost the brand’s current line of electrified vehicles. Cruz added that this is crucial now since the Philippines is seeing an “evolving era of electrified mobility.”
The uptick in hybrid cars for the Philippine market can be seen in many of TMP’s competitors. Chery for instance, is poised on launching the Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid. Great Wall Motors has the Jolion Hybrid, while Mazda has the CX 60 hybrid variant. A prior report also suggests that the Honda CR-V Hybrid might be arriving locally but this is yet to be made official.
No further specifications for the all-new Yaris Cross were shared by TMP. But from its initial specs that are already visible on TMP’s website, we already know that it will slot in between the larger Corolla Cross and the smaller Raize.

It was also revealed that it will be getting three variants. The top-spec S 1.5 Hybrid (HEV) will be priced at Php 1,598,000, while the mid-spec V 1.5 CVT trim will retail at Php 1,306,000. The most affordable of the three is the G 1.5 CVT which will be priced at Php 1,199,000.
Only the top-spec S will be getting a hybrid 1.5-liter powertrain and is the only version that’s kitted out with an electric vehicle (EV) mode. The V and S meanwhile, will be the combustion-only versions. All three will be using a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Other notable features on the all-new 2024 Yaris Cross are a 10.1-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the Toyota Safety Sense driver-assistive kit (for the S HEV and V), and disc brakes for all four wheels.
The full specifications of this forthcoming ride are yet to be released by TMP. So for further updates, keep it here on Philkotse.
