Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has added the upcoming Yaris Cross to its official website. Pictures of the vehicle are yet to appear on TMP’s site, but the crossover’s variants, pricing, and some of its specifications are already visible. That said, let’s go over these details to see what we can expect from the brand’s forthcoming model.

There are three trims for the 2024 Toyota Yaris Cross. The top-spec variant is the S 1.5 Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV), priced at Php 1,598,000. The mid-spec trim meanwhile is the V 1.5 CVT which retails at Php 1,306,000, while the entry-level G 1.5 CVT is priced at Php 1,199,000.

All three trims are uniform size-wise. They are 4,310mm long, 1,770mm wide, and 1,615mm high. Those measurements confirm that the Yaris Cross does slot in between the smaller Toyota Raize and the larger Toyota Corolla Cross. The S HEV and the V then ride on a set of 18-inch alloy wheels, while the G uses a 17-inch wheelset. No other exterior features were mentioned as of yet.

Listed interior features meanwhile include a smart entry system, a push-to-start button, and a drive mode selector. Drive modes though, are only available for the S HEV and V variant, and it provides an eco mode, a normal mode, and a power mode. Only the S HEV gets an electric-vehicle-only (EV) range.

All variants also get a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. No connectivity options are listed for this touchscreen now, but we’re hoping that it comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Standard on both the S HEV and the mid-spec V trim is the Toyota Safety Sense driver-assistive kit. It includes a pre-collision system, automatic high beams, lane trace assist, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Both the V and the HEV also get a 360-degree view monitor.

There are two engine options for the PH-spec Yaris Cross. The top-spec variant gets a 1.5-liter inline-4 engine paired with an electric motor. Its combustion component can make up to 89 horsepower and 121 Nm of torque but the additional power from the electric motor is yet to be shared by TMP. If we reference the Indonesian-spec model though, the electric motor adds 79 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque.

The V and G trims, in turn, are combustion-only models. Both get a 1.5-liter inline-4 engine, outputting 104 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque.

All trims, including the S HEV, use a continuous variant transmission (CVT). Braking is then handled by front and rear disc brakes for all variants.

The rest of the specs of the 2024 Yaris Cross will be released once it officially debuts for the Philippine market. TMP though, has yet to confirm the release date for the crossover but if you’re looking forward to that, keep it here on Philkotse for more updates.
