Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has once again provided aid to further strengthen the need for health efforts in the country. The Japanese carmaker turned over 20 units of portable air purifiers donated by Denso Thailand to the Philippine General Hospital (PGH).
Present in the ceremonial turnover of the air purifiers are TMP representatives Ma. Cristina Arevalo, first vice president of New Mobility Business Division (NMB), and NMB supervisor Andrew Ryan Ty. PGH doctors Dr. Hermogenes Monroy, Dr. Dennis Serrano, Dr. Orlando Ocampo, and Dr. Esther Saguil also joined the ceremony.

The 20 donated portable air purifiers are called Denso Plasmacluster Ion Generators. It generates positive hydrogen ions and negative oxygen ions that are said to remove viruses, molds, and allergens in small spaces with limited air circulation.
The air purifiers will be used in hospital rooms, and inside the cars and shuttles used by PGH’s healthcare workers. These devices were previously tried and tested with the free shuttle transportation service extended by TMP and the Toyota Mobility Foundation (TMF) to PGH staff.

Not only did PGH received air purifiers from TMP, but the hospital was also one of the recipients of the Vios units donated by the Japanese carmaker to the Department of Health (DOH) and other government and LGU-run hospitals in the country. With this, TMP and PGH hope to curb the spreading of the COVID-19 safer and faster.
Other efforts TMP provided to help the country’s battle to the ongoing health crisis include offering flexible payment schemes on its vehicles, the launching of its 3D virtual showroom, free vehicle sanitation, free shuttle ride for health workers using the Toyota Hiace, and donating personal protective equipment (PPEs) to local hospitals.
