Previously, we reported that Toyota Motor Philippines will soon be launching the GR Sport versions of the Hilux pickup and Fortuner midsize SUV. Now, it seems that the GR Sport version of the Hilux is now in the Philippines, and it reportedly comes with a sticker price of Php 1,995,000.
2022 Toyota Hilux GR Sport
Photos of the 2022 Toyota Hilux GR Sport emerged online via the TRD Parts Facebook page. The photos shared by the said Facebook page look accurate when compared to the Hilux GR Sport that debuted in Thailand, and in Japan.
Based on the current Conquest flagship trim, the Hilux GR Sport comes with a restyled grille that comes with a spelled-out Toyota emblem. The grille is also placed with a GR badge. The design details on the front bumper have also been tweaked as compared to the one fitted on the regular Hilux Conquest variant.
It has a new design on the alloy wheels
Other cosmetic tweaks integrated into the Hilux GR Sport is an all-black sport bar while the prominent fender flares are now also finished in black. You can also see that the Hilux GR Sport is equipped with a new set of wheels as it has a different design compared to the ones you see on the Conquest.
Leather and suede seats along with red stitching
Inside, the GR Sport version of the Hilux gets leather and suede seats along with red stitching, and GR logos. The steering also looks different as it now comes with a red-colored 12 o’clock marker, and a GR badge. Moreover, the Hilux GR Sport has aluminum sport pedals.

Under the hood, it is powered by the same 2.8-liter diesel engine that can put out 201 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The Toyota Hilux GR Sport is available with a six-speed automatic transmission, and features a 4x4 drivetrain.
The 2022 Toyota Hilux GR Sport reportedly comes with a sticker price of Php 1,995,000, which is an additional Php 120,000 from the Conquest 4x4 AT variant.
