With the regional finals of the GR Supra GT Cup Asia set to commence on October 25, the e-motorsport team representing the Philippines is currently stretching their virtual racing legs in preparation. As we’ve reported before, the team consists of the three e-racers who previously won the GR Supra GT Cup Asia national finals. These are e-sports racing veteran Terence Lallave, aircraft mechanic Lance Padilla, and writer/photographer Jose Altoveros.

On October 25, the Philippine team will be facing twelve other players from Thailand, India, Malaysia, and Singapore. All are respective winners of their country’s GR Supra GT Cup Asia national legs. As such, there’s no doubt that the Philippine team will be facing stiff competition.
To aid the Philippine team, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is currently working together with Tuason Racing. TMP also brought in PLDT enterprise to provide the necessary internet connectivity for the team Philippines. The race after all will be held virtually in Gran Turismo Sport, one of the Sony Playstation’s mainstay racing games.
