Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is inviting you to join the Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Festival 2023 happening at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila this August 23 and 24.
The TGR Festival will start soon
The TGR Festival will bring out some of the most exciting Toyota cars including the GR Supra, GR Yaris, and GR86. World-class rally cars such as the Toyota WRC (World Rally Championship) Yaris and the Red Bull GR Corolla will also light up the festival.
Morizo (the racing pseudonym of Toyota Motor Corporation Chairman Aiko Toyoda) will be arriving in the country. Toyoda was the former president and CEO (chief executive officer) of Toyota before being succeeded by Koji Sato last April. Toyota Gazoo Racing Team international racers Katsuta Norihiko and Sasaki Masahiro will join him.
Local racing drivers including Alex Perez, Luis Gono, and TGR Ambassador Marlon Stockinger will put on a show by exhibiting their skills in drifting and gymkhana.

There will be something for everyone as local bands and artists will perform at the festival. Included on the list are Ben&Ben, Ely Buendia, Parokya ni Edgar, and Kamikazee. TMP said more artists and personalities will join them.
On the second day, the 2023 TGR Gran Turismo (GT Cup) will see the best sim racers battle it out. It is an e-sports program that gives Filipinos a chance to showcase their racecraft in the virtual world. The winners will move on to represent the country in the Asia Regional Rounds.
Of note, admission is free at the TGR Festival 2023.

The two-day event is part of TMP’s 35th-anniversary celebration this August. Earlier this month, the company rolled out a test drive activity dubbed “Go Electrified with Toyota” fair, which saw the revealing of the Yaris Cross HEV. It is positioned as the brand’s most affordable hybrid in the local market.
