Toyota Philippines to celebrate its 35th anniversary with a bang

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is celebrating its 35th anniversary this August. It has several events in store for its foundation month, and if you’re looking to get a brand new Toyota, TMP has something for you as well.

TMP is kicking off its foundation month celebration by showcasing its lineup of hybrids

First off, the brand is rolling out a test drive activity dubbed the “Go Electrified with Toyota” fair. It will commence from August 4 to 6 at the Bonifacio High Street Amphitheater at the Bonifacio Global City.

During this event, TMP will be revealing the upcoming Yaris Cross HEV. All of the other hybrids within the Toyota and Lexus lineups will be making an appearance for test drives. This is open to the public, and it seeks to promote using hybrid vehicles as a means to reduce emissions.

The brand then follows that up with the Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival (TGR Fest). This meanwhile, is a two-day event on August 23 and 24, and it will be held at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila. 

In attendance during this festival are Toyota Gazoo Racing drivers including Akio “Morizo” Toyoda, the chairman of the Toyota Motor Corporation. Toyoda himself will be performing driving exhibitions for the public, and he will be joined by Japanese and local racing talents ranging from the brand’s World Rally Championship drivers to local drifting and gymkhana challengers. 

Toyoda is an avid racer and he regularly competes at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring

All Toyota Gazoo Racing cars will grace the two-day festival, and musical talents like Parokya Ni Edgar, Kamikazee, Ely Buendia, and Ben&Ben will be performing as well. 

Throughout August, all of TMP’s 72 dealerships are offering special anniversary deals on many of the brand’s popular offerings. This includes the Toyota Hilux, Fortuner, Vios, Innova, and others.
