If you’re one of the many motorists who travel to the City of Manila from Quezon City on a daily basis, then we’ve got great news for you. The Quirino southbound exit of Skyway Stage 3 is now open to motorists, specifically those using Class-1 vehicles. With the said part of the elevated expressway now open, it is now possible for motorists coming from Quezon City to reach the city of Manila in just 20 minutes.

San Miguel Corporation (SMC) President Ramon Ang also stated that with the opening of the Quirino southbound exit, more vehicles are now diverted from major public roads and other streets. As such, “this will redound to relief from congestion and faster and easier commutes for many of our countrymen on our major thoroughfares.”
Of note, Skyway Stage 3, while already operational, is actually yet to be fully completed. According to the Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar, the said elevated toll road is expected to divert at least 75,000 vehicles from C5 and/or EDSA.
As to what a fully completed Skyway system is like, it is a 38-kilometer elevated expressway that will be accessible through a total of 36 on- and off-ramps.
With the opening of the Quirino Southbound exit ramp, the Skyway Stage 3 now has a total of 15 ramps that are in service. Last April, SMC also opened the Nagtahan southbound and northbound off-ramps.
