Former Hyundai, Changan top exec Agudo is Chevrolet PH’s new president

Maria Fe Perez-Agudo is seeking to strengthen the bow-tie brand. 

Maria Fe Perez-Agudo has officially stepped up as Chevrolet Philippines’ new president and chief executive officer (CEO). This was made official when Agudo made an appearance at a dealer business conference where she outlined her Rework Strategy that’s set to transform Chevy PH for the better.

Of note, Agudo is an automotive industry veteran with decades of experience. She was the former president and CEO of Hyundai Asia Resources Inc. (HARI). She likewise held the same leadership role for Changan Philippines before the brand’s acquisition by Inchcape Philippines.

At the said event, Agudo shared her strategy that will be the key to improving Chevrolet PH as a business. One of the first key steps to make this possible is for the company to “strengthen its bonds with loyal customers.” Her strategy will likewise involve expanding its market scope, as well as actively meeting the diverse demands for quality and service from its customers. 

“Chevrolet Philippines stands on the brink of transformative progress. We assure our customers of products of exceptional quality that will foster customer loyalty, and of offers that mirror their true value.” 

“We are proud to support this with a network of service-oriented professionals, all contributing to our customer’s enriched Chevrolet experience,” said Agudo in her closing remarks at the aforementioned event. 

Chevrolet Trax

Of note, the latest model that Chevrolet introduced to the Philippine market was the Trax crossover SUV. It has a starting price of Php 1,218,888, and it officially launched locally back in July 2023. 

Other models in the current Chevy PH lineup include the Tracker, Trailblazer, Suburban, Tahoe, Camaro, and Corvette. Last year, the company also teamed up with the North Luzon Expressway Corporation (NLEX Corp.) for its Lakbay Norte tourism program.
