When Nissan Philippines debuted the facelifted 2021 Navara, many were thrilled with its new design cues such as the larger grille, revamped rear end, and sleeker headlights. But perhaps the most noteworthy feature the refreshed pickup truck now offers to Filipino car buyers is its new 5-year warranty.
What makes the 5-year warranty special is that all other Nissan vehicles that are included in the Philippine lineup come with a 3-year warranty only. To make the offer more unique, all variants across the new Navara range are accompanied by the new warranty coverage.
The new Nissan Navara comes with a 5-year warranty
The Nissan Navara is offered with a wide array of variants to cater to different pickup truck needs in the market. The base EL 4x2 MT variant starts at Php 1,149,000 and goes up to Php 1,849,000 for the top-of-the-line PRO-4X 2.5 4x4 AT variant. Buyers can also choose the Aspen Pearl White paint option which adds Php 15,000.
All variants are powered by a 2.5-liter YD25 inline-4 turbodiesel engine which makes 190 hp and 450 Nm of torque (the EL variant makes 163 hp and 403 Nm of torque). The engine can be paired to either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic transmission, depending on the variant.
The Nissan Navara is one robust truck
Of note, the 5-year warranty extends the mechanical and electrical parts coverage for another two years or an additional 50,000 kilometers, whichever comes first, on top of Nissan Philippines’ standard 3-year/100,000 km warranty offered in other Nissan vehicles.
“The five-year warranty gives our customers more confidence to fully enjoy the quality, durability, and reliability [of the] new Nissan Navara and take it on bolder adventures. Combining this with new ruggedly bold style, outstanding performance, improved toughness, and technologically advanced Nissan Intelligent Mobility features, the new Nissan Navara is truly driven by the brave,” says Atsushi Najima, Nissan Philippines President and Managing Director.
