It is no doubt that Nissan Philippines could be launching the Livina seven-seater MPV sometime soon. We’ve already seen the photos of it being transported on local roads, which adds to the idea that there’s a high probability that Nissan PH could introduce the said MPV.
Nissan Livina - Exterior and Interior - Walkaround [Video: Merico Arianto Hattu]
An Indonesian Youtube user posted a walkaround video of this anticipated model, showing what one can expect from it. As seen from the video above, the Livina gets its own unique design that sets it apart from its Mitsubishi Xpander platform sibling. It gets the Nissan signature V-motion grille, its own unique and angular lower bumper, and a pair of sharp-looking LED daytime running lamps.

Mind you, the Livina still sports some degree of angularity on its front end, but it isn’t as hyper-modern as the Xpander.
The large headlamps, the sides, and the rear though, are dead ringers for the Xpander. This was also shown in our previous article when someone took spy shots of several 2023 Nissan Livina units while they were being transported.
Going back to the design, one might think its front end will clash with the rest of the vehicle. Then again, the Nissan-designed front end actually blends well with the rest of the vehicle. It makes for a more elegant, sleeker-looking family ride.
From the rear, it looks like the Xpander
Inside, the trim that the video showed appears to feature soft touch leather for the interior doors cards. This adds a bit of a premium-like feel to the vehicle’s interior. Some portions of the dash also have this, though most of it looks like durable hard plastic.
Overall though, it appears well-arranged and the controls are logically positioned for easy reach. It also gets a touchscreen headunit, though we aren’t certain of its size just yet.
Towards the rear is ceiling-mounted air-conditioning vents for the second row. And obviously, it also has a third row, which is folded down flat in the video. So it can indeed seat a total of seven. That of course is a must-have feature for many Filipinos.
It also gets a Nissan-specific steering wheel
The model also exhibits a roomy cabin that could indicate this vehicle is great as a road-trip chariot. And as mentioned, the third row was folded down, so it also offers a cavernous trunk for plenty of luggage.
Now on the video, the guy didn’t show the Livina’s engine. We are expecting though that the Philippine-spec Livina will also be getting the same 1.5-liter four-banger that the Xpander is currently using. If we took the Mitsubishi model as a reference, then we can surmise that the upcoming Livina can also make up to 103 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque.
It offers plenty of cargo space as well
For that matter, we’re also expecting it to use either a four-speed automatic tranny, or a five-speed manual gearbox. Power of course, will then be sent to its front wheels.
