Since the local debut of Nissan LEAF last May, the electric vehicle (EV) has been positioned to advance the EV market in the country. Now, the LEAF is officially available nationwide as it is offered in Nissan dealerships in Tagum City and Matina, Davao City.
The reach of the Nissan LEAF is growing
The Nissan LEAF is a compact EV first launched by the Japanese car brand in 2010. But it was only this year when the EV arrived in the country with the help of the vehicle’s sole distributor in the local market, the Gateway Motors Group. Other Nissan dealerships that currently offer the LEAF include Mantrade Makati, Otis, and Cebu South.
“We are committed in making our EV technology more accessible to more areas in the Philippines, from Luzon, to Visayas, and Mindanao. With the reach of our EV dealerships and the support of our dedicated and passionate personnel, we are off to an optimistic start for this new chapter in the company’s electrification strategy,” said Nissan Philippines President and Managing Director Atsushi Najima.
Charging stations can be used for free in Nissan dealerships
Nissan dealerships are equipped with EV charging stations manned by certified and trained experts to serve Nissan LEAF customers. With the use of its dedicated EV charging station, the compact EV can be fully charged in as fast as 40 to 60 minutes for free. A fully charged LEAF can run up to 311 kilometers.
Interested individuals residing in Davao City who want to check out the new Nissan LEAF may visit the car brand’s dealerships in Tagum City located along National Highway in Brgy. Canocotan or in Matina situated in McArthur Highway, Brgy. Ma-a, Davao City.
“We are excited to be part of this EV journey with Nissan. We share their vision of a smarter, sustainable, and exciting future of mobility, and honored to be a pioneer EV dealership group in the country, said Gateway Motors Group Chairman Markane Goho.
The Nissan LEAF will be available in up to seven dealerships within the year
As for pricing, the Nissan LEAF is offered at Php 2,798,000. Nissan Philippines also offers the LEAF with a 3-year or 100,000 km warranty (whichever comes first) and an 8-year or 160,000 km battery warranty (whichever comes first).
