It’s an open secret that the all-new Toyota Innova will be making its debut anytime soon. The series of teaser images revealed by Toyota Indonesia as well as the spy shots of the alleged next-generation MPV are clear indications of its imminent debut.
We mentioned in our previous reports that Toyota has been coy so far on the 2023 Innova’s release date. But then again, the teaser images and the spy shots indicate that Toyota’s all-new MPV could most likely be launched before the year ends. So, when will it be making its debut?
Philkotse has learned that the next-gen 2023 Toyota Innova will be launched on November 21. Although, Toyota Indonesia has yet to release an official announcement about it. But, the all-new Innova’s November 21 launch date came from well-placed sources in Indonesia.
That said, the all-new Toyota Innova’s debut will coincide with the next-gen Honda BR-V’s Philippine debut, which is also happening on November 21, 2022.
Going back to the Toyota MPV, the latest teaser shows that the upcoming 2023 Innova will come with a hybrid powertrain. The teaser image shows a silhouette of the Innova’s side profile wherein you can spot a “Hybrid” badge near the front fender. The caption in the said teaser image also reads, “The new energy that comes with better power is on the way to energize you!”
Reports are also stating that the 2023 Toyota Innova will be equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline hybrid engine that can put out 175 hp. It is also said that it will ride on a unibody chassis, which means that it will no longer share platforms with the Hilux and the Fortuner. The all-new Innova will reportedly have the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) chassis. The upcoming Innova is also said to come with Toyota Safety Sense driver-assist tech.
