It joins the Xpander in the all-black club.

Over the past week, the revival of Ralliart has been a hot topic for the Mitsubishi brand. It rolled out two models that get the Ralliart treatment, namely the Montero Sport and Strada. The first market to offer the said Ralliart models is Thailand, while the Philippines still awaits an official announcement.

Mitsubishi Strada Athlete Black Edition

While standing by, Mitsubishi Motor Corporation Philippines (MMPC) gave a huge treat for Strada fans with the addition of the new Black Series for the Athlete variant. The Jet Black Mica color has been added to the Mitsubishi Strada Athlete paint options which should appeal to certain car buyers in the market.

“The addition of new Strada Jet Black Mica color option is our way of providing more choices for our customers. We believe that a vehicle is more than just a tool of transportation but a reflection of their characteristics. With this in mind, we are committed to provide alternatives that will best represent their personality and further enhance ownership experience,” said MMPC President and CEO Mr. Takeshi Hara.

The truck gets an executive look

The Mitsubishi Strada Black Series didn’t have a difficult time blending with the exterior features of the top-spec Athlete as most of them are blacked-out already. Perhaps the only chrome bit that is turned into black is the front skid plate. And of course, the Black Series still sports the Strada Athlete decals on its sides.

New "Athlete" stitching

But the exterior isn’t the only part that was revamped for the Black Series. Inside, the standard orange seats of the Athlete are accented by new black leather trims to live up to the Jet Black Mica option. A small yet interesting update that enhances the exclusivity of the Black Series.

With the introduction of the Black Series, the Strada now joins the Mitsubishi Xpander as the models in the local lineup with the all-black edition. As of this writing, MMPC has no word just yet as to whether it will add a Black Series to all of its vehicles or not.

All-black theme

Interested individuals can avail of the Mitsubishi Strada Black Series from Php 1,447,000 for the Athlete 2WD version to Php 1,764,000 for the top-of-the-line Athlete 4WD. To note, there are no additional costs for the Black Series edition.
