The Lamborghini Urus Performante Special Edition has officially debuted. It gets plenty of improvements over the standard Urus Performante, and it mostly involves making it ready for the race track.

There is, however, a big catch when it comes to this new Urus variant. It is limited just to 40 units, and all of them are reserved exclusively for current owners of the track-only Lamborghini Essenza SCV12.
Regardless of its exclusivity though, the Urus Performante Special Edition will still wow the Italian car markers fans. Made by Lamborghini’s Ad Personam department, this track-focused version of the Urus gets a carbon fiber engine hood and roof. Its side mirrors and rocker covers are also made out of carbon fiber.
It then gets a unique look thanks to an exclusive Ad Personam livery combined with a two-tone color scheme. Lower portions of the car, as well as its front bumpers, and hood, are colored in black to mirror the look of the Essenza. A set of high-gloss 23-inch wheels and black-colored calipers then completes the exterior design of this special edition model.

The interior, of course, gets a whole host of improvements as well. Customers may choose from various materials for the seats and for other decorative interior pieces. Two carbon fiber plaques commemorating are then positioned inside the cabin. One shows off the brand’s 60th-anniversary logo, while the other shows the vehicle’s number or the customer’s name.
Just like the “regular” Urus Performante, all 40 Special Edition units use a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. Engine output remains unchanged at 657 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque, and it gets the same eight-speed automatic gearbox.
With that kind of performance, the Urus Performante set a record in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb production SUV category. It finished the run in 10:32.064, beating the previous record by a whopping 17 seconds.

As mentioned above, only Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 owners will get to own the Urus Performante Special Edition. As such, the brand didn’t disclose how much the latter costs. The track-only Essenza SCV12 which was released back in 2020 however, retailed at about $2.6 million (around Php 144 million at current exchange rates).
