Jetour is a sub-brand under the Chery Auto Group that aims to provide budget-friendly models. It recently entered the Philippines as Jetour Auto Philippines, Inc. (JAPI), and it wants to make its brand felt immediately with the introduction of the X70.
Jetour X70
The Jetour X70 is a midsize crossover designed with a rugged SUV look. For a starting price of just under Php 1.1 million, you can get a vehicle of its size with seven seats. While the price tag already makes it an enticing buy, let’s what this vehicle can offer in the market.
Up front, the fascia features an aggressive-looking design underscored by the massive grille with three horizontal slats. This is flanked by sleek LED headlights and distinct fog lights. Providing the premium appeal of the crossover is the abundant use of chrome trims at the front.
It comes with a 7-seater configuration
Inside, the X70 is equipped with amenities such as a two-tone brown and black theme, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a digital gauge cluster, and an electronic parking brake. It also comes with a panoramic sunroof, which is a unique feature to have at its respective price point.
Powering the vehicle is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine capable of generating 154 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque. It sends power exclusively to the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The X70 starts at Php 1.099 million
JAPI is offering the X70 in three variants: X70 Journey for Php 1.099 million, X70 Travel for 1.259 million, and X70 Sport for Php 1.299 million. It also comes with a 6-year general vehicle warranty (unlimited mileage) and a 10-year engine warranty.
In addition, the company rolled out a more upscaled model of the X70 called the X70 Plus. Coming in with a Php 1.499 million price tag, the Jetour X70 Plus takes the offerings up a notch.
While prices for the X70's trims were already released by JAPI, do note that the brand's selling period for its locally available models won't start until April 2023.
Jetour X70 Plus
If you find the 7-seater vehicle interesting, the Chinese car brand will set up its booth at the upcoming Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). It will display models in the local lineup, which should include the Dashing and Ice Cream EV (electric vehicle).
