One of the largest car events in the Philippines is all set.

Worldbex Services International announces the list of participating vehicle brands at the upcoming 2023 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). This comes a month after giving the event the green light.

Representing the Japanese lineup are the Mitsubishi, Nissan, and Subaru. Note that Motor Image, the official distributor of Subaru vehicles in the country, might be launching the Subaru Forester GT Edition during the event.  For those unaware, this is a sportier version of the compact crossover, and it made an appearance at the Singapore Motor Show earlier this year.

Chinese automakers will have the most presence on the event grounds as nine brands have confirmed to join the fray. These brands include BYD, Changan, Chery, Foton, GAC Motor, Geely, GMW (Great Wall Motor), Jetour, and JMC. British-bred MG is also part of this roster, and it will likely feature the MG GT to the event’s spectators.

Other automakers included in the 2023 MIAS lineup are Ford, Hyundai, and Peugeot. Hyundai Motor Philippines, Inc. (HMPH) is then expected to display the Ioniq 5 all-electric compact crossover on its stage.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is one of the first electric vehicles (EVs) made available in the country. This reflects the Korean automaker’s commitment to supporting the Philippines’ EV push. Some of the features the Ioniq 5 will showcase at the upcoming car show are its retro-futuristic design, 451 km EV range, and eco-friendly benefits.

The upcoming 2023 MIAS will also be joined by several truck brands and truck distributors. These include the likes of Autokid, DAF, and JAC Trucks. Two-wheeler enthusiasts will also get to see Mutt Motorcycles at the event.

With the theme “Shaping Mobility,” the 2023 MIAS will be happening from April 13 to 16, 2023, and it will be open to ticket-holders from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Like previous MIAS events, the 2023 edition will be held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. This year’s MIAS marks the car show’s 18th year.
