Upcoming car brands in the Philippines, Omoda and Jaecoo, have officially signed a partnership with logistics giant DB Schenker. Thanks to this memorandum of understanding (MOU), the brands are now prepared to provide efficient automobile logistics services for their future clients in the Philippines.

Of note, the said MOU was signed by Omoda and Jaecoo PH Country Director Marco Chen, and DB Schenker Cluster Heads for the Philippines & Indonesia Elaine Dimayuga and Irma Diaz Guevara.
Once Omoda and Jaecoo commence their operations in the local market, DB Schenker will step in to assist in improving warehouse management efficiency, and in optimizing customs clearance process. The logistics company will also provide integrated transportation services for the upcoming brands.
Specifically for Omoda and Jaecoo clients, the MOU will help in maintaining a timely parts delivery where no order is left untracked. The partnership will likewise allow the two car brands to leverage DB Schenker’s environmentally friendlier low-carbon logistics capabilities, as well as its technology-driven solutions and knowledge in digitalization.

For those unaware, Germany-based DB Schenker is a world leader in air, land, and sea logistics. It has a history spanning 150 years, and it has been in operation in the Philippines for over 15 years. Locally, it boasts over 100 warehouses within the country, with a total warehousing space exceeding 280,000 square meters. These are managed by more than 2,300 qualified logistics professionals.
As a reminder, Omoda and Jaecoo will officially launch for the Philippine market at the upcoming Manila International Auto Show. The event is scheduled to commence from April 4 to April 7, 2024 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Jaecoo is planning to debut two vehicles at the aforementioned auto show. According to previous reports, these might be the J7 and the J8. Omoda meanwhile, has already brought into the country its first batch of Omoda 5 units.
