Note that charitable donations to entities like NKTI have been a part of Isuzu’s “Road to Progress” vision. This was outlined at the brand’s 25th inaugural anniversary back in 2022.

Specifically, IPC aims to lend its support to various initiatives that aim to make the world a better place. In this case, IPC’s donation to NKTI aligns with the Road to Progress’s social aspect. Other aspects under the IPC’s vision also include the governance and environmental aspects.

With its donation, IPC’s donation can be seen as a way of giving back to the community by supporting the good health and well-being of Filipinos.

With regards to IPC’s donation, NKTI Medical Social Service Division Chief Leonides Basada said that it will be utilized for the benefit of their indigent patients.  To be more exact, the funds will be used to support these patients’ peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis procedures.

“We are very thankful for Isuzu Philippines Corporation’s benevolent act. The Php 250,000 cash donation will mean a lot to our dialysis and transplant patients. It will be a big assistance in their everyday medical expense”, added Basada.

For those unfamiliar with NKTI, note that it is one of the largest and best hospitals for renal (kidney) care in the country. It also counts as one of the best facilities that can handle kidney, liver, pancreas, stem cell, & bone marrow transplants in the Philippines.

IPC in turn, is one of the largest vehicle nameplates in the Philippines. As of 2022, Isuzu Philippines has been hailed as the top truck brand in the Philippines for 23 consecutive years. It also sells two popular passenger vehicle models: the Isuzu D-Max pickup truck, and the Isuzu mu-X midsize SUV.
