The company is expecting better results this year.

Hyundai’s operations in the country were reworked last year as Hariphil Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), formerly known as Hyundai Asia Resources, now solely focuses on the distribution of the brand’s commercial vehicles (CVs).

The strategy appears to work as HARI managed to improve its sales figures in 2022. In particular, HARI’s bus sales registered a 10 percent growth in the sales department. Leading the charge were Hyundai’s best-selling County and Universe buses.

According to the company, the increase in sales is attributed to the country’s massive return to commuting and inter-regional travel. As COVID-19 cases fell significantly, quarantine restrictions have been loosened up, which brings more commuters out and on the go.

Meanwhile, HARI’s modern PUV sales sustained momentum with more than 250 units released nationwide. Some of the transport groups that received Hyundai modern PUVs last year were BAMAPCOM Entrepreneurs Multipurpose Cooperative from Baguio City and Bulusan Transport Service Cooperative from Sorsogon City.

HARI is expecting to improve its bus sales further this year with the launching of the new Hyundai County New Breeze last month. It is now longer by 25mm and can accommodate up to 29 passengers plus the driver. The new extra-long version also offers an increased capacity of 32+1 occupants.

The interior has been updated for the comfort and convenience of the passengers. The relocation of its condenser, which is now placed towards the roof, provides better air quality for the AC. Moreover, the bus now comes with PVC-wrapped seats and a digital dual climate control system.

Another model expected to contribute big time in its sales department is the Hyundai HD45 GT. The light-duty truck has a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 4,490 kgs., making it exempted from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s (MMDA) truck ban. This can keep your business moving non-stop for the years ahead.
