Apart from its flashy exterior that’s made more ostentatious by combining gullwing doors with rear-opening coach doors, this all-new concept likewise boasts onboard artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
According to the Chinese carmaker, almost everything inside the Galaxy Starship is integrated with AI. From the seats to driving, this concept utilizes AI in almost every facet of the vehicle. Essentially, the vehicle is an AI ecosystem.
The result is a fully automated car experience that’s poised to keep its occupants comfortable, safe, and entertained. But despite this, Geely made sure to make this AI-powered concept car human-centric.
For starters, it gets a roomy cabin that may be accessed by PWDs thanks to its rear seat’s ability to roll in and out of the vehicle. The AI itself can likewise be commanded via voice while also boasting plenty of display surfaces provided via smart glass and hologram technology.
It features a very roomy interior
Regarding its mechanical bits, the Galaxy Starship is based on the brand’s Global Intelligent New Energy Architecture, which again, was designed with the aid of AI. This Geely says, is the world’s first “AI digital chassis,” which simply means that it was designed from the ground up to be fully autonomous.
Geely shared that the AI digital chassis has a reaction speed of just four milliseconds. By having that capability, the Geely Galaxy may be able to avoid accidents faster than any human could.
For its powertrain meanwhile, this new Geely concept vehicle uses the brand’s new plug-in hybrid architecture comprised of “11-in-1” motors, and a new 800-volt battery. This PHEV powertrain is said to be 90 percent efficient resulting in an estimated full-tank range of over 2,000 kilometers.
