For most Filipino car owners, having their car maintained at the dealership is a waiting game. Sure, there are miraculous instances when you can get it done in a jiffy, but oftentimes that isn’t the case. This is of course true for larger car brands in the country.
GAC Motor Philippines however, provides us with an alternative. Specifically, its service centers can now service both GAC and non-GAC models. These services include changing oil, freon recharging, body repair and paint jobs, tire installation and wheel alignment, and many other car maintenance services.

GAC Motor even offers insurance assistance and insurance claim estimate costing on non-GAC Motor brands. For more details, do contact your nearest GAC Motor dealership regarding its after sales services.
Besides the aforementioned, it was also revealed by the Chinese-marque that it will be expanding its dealership network once again. Two more GAC dealerships will rise in 2021, and two more in the first quarter of 2022. However, it's yet to be revealed where these will be located. Nevertheless, these will certainly help the brand in gaining a larger footprint in the local automotive market.
Upcoming GAC models
Apart from those, GAC Philippines is also launching several new models soon. That’s one new next-gen model, and two special trims for existing models
GAC Motor Philippine's upcoming models
The first one is the second-generation GS4 crossover. In other markets, it either gets a 1.5-liter inline-4 gasoline mill capable of making up to 169 horsepower and 265Nm of torque. There’s also a hybrid version though we doubt that’s coming to the Philippine market. Instead we might be getting the newer inline-4 which is significantly more powerful than the existing 1.5-liter engine. At most, the current GS4’s four-banger can make 151 horsepower and 235Nm of torque.
Next up is a new variant for the GAC GN8 seven-seater MPV. It's dubbed as the GN8 Masters Edition, and it features a longer wheelbase, a more pronounced front end, as well as a posher interior.
The second one is the GS8 Bullet Proof Edition. And as the name implies, it will feature armor plating. As of the moment though, GAC is yet to disclose its armor rating but do note that this version of the midsize crossover SUV might need a more powerful engine. Armored passenger vehicles after all are certainly heavier than regular cars.

As a point of reference, the current GS8 uses a 2.0-liter engine that can churn out 198 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. It’s already a beefy mill, but it will need something to lug around the added weight. Speaking of which, GAC might also give this armored version suspension tweaks too.
