These price changes are effective as of May 24, 2023, and it applies to all GAC dealerships nationwide. Moreover, it is also applicable for the folks who have reserved their Emkoo units at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show (2023 MIAS).

When the GAC Emkoo debuted at the 2023 MIAS its GE trim was priced at Php 1,413,000, while the top-spec GL retailed at Php 1,553,000. This means that both the GE and GL are now Php 115,000 and Php 55,000 cheaper respectively.

The reduction in the Emkoo’s prices is linked to GAC PH’s celebration of its fifth year in the local market. According to the brand, this is their way of showing gratitude to its valued customers.

According to GAC Motor brand head Jun Cajayon, the Emkoo represents their brand's high build quality and durability. With the new pricing for the said model, this crossover SUV along with the comforts and technological advancements that it has to offer is now more accessible to more Filipino customers.

A peek inside the Emkoo

To refresh your memory, the GAC Emkoo crossover sports a “sci-fi-inspired” exterior design while sporting a roomy interior that’s filled to the brim with convenience features. For safety, it then comes with multiple airbags, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, hill-descent control, and tire pressure monitoring, among others.

Under the hood of the Emkoo is a 1.5-liter GDI turbocharged engine that can produce up to 177 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to its front wheels via a seven-speed wet-type dual-clutch transmission.

GAC then claims that the said turbocharged engine can return an average fuel-economy reading of 16.1 km/l. That said, this ride promises to be peppy while being economical as well.

Do the lower prices for the GAC Emkoo make it a more desirable buy?
