By the beginning of 2023, the Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) will be getting a new president. Appointed to this post is Tetsuya Fujita, who is currently a Senior Executive of Isuzu Motors Limited Japan (IML).
IPC will be getting a new leader starting 2023
Far from being a rookie, Fujita-san has extensive experience in the automotive industry. In fact, he has already worked with Isuzu for three decades, and he previously held leadership positions in regions like Latin America and the United States.
Outgoing IPC President Noboru Murakami will then take the helm of Isuzu North America. In his tenure as the IPC President, he has managed to maintain IPC’s position as the number one truck brand in the Philippines.
Murakami-san also ensured the continuation and adoption of transitioning to 100 percent renewable energy use for IPC’s plant operations. It was also under his leadership that IPC managed to further expand its dealership network to a wider nationwide customer base. Lastly, he also ensured that IPC had weathered the storm that was the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused adverse effects to the Philippine car industry as a whole.

With the entry of Fujita, it is expected that he will continue Murakami’s efforts in maintaining Isuzu’s position as the country’s number one truck brand. His three decades of experience that was mentioned after all, has afforded him extensive knowledge of light commercial trucks.
Speaking of being the top truck brand in the Philippines, it also looks like IPC will be achieving that distinction for the 23rd consecutive time by the end of 2022. Will Fujita eventually lead IPC to its twenty fourth year as the king of trucks in the Philippines? What new programs and initiatives does he have in store for the brand?
