Several car brands in the Philippines have already jumped into the crossover trend, which is a vehicle segment that has been gaining popularity in the market. Ford Philippines is among the car companies that want to capitalize on the current market trend as it introduced its challenger, the Territory.
The Ford Territory continues to carry its sales momentum
The Ford Territory was officially launched in the Philippines last August 2020, and it quickly became one of the top-selling vehicles among the Blue Oval brand’s model lineup. Ford PH managed to roll out 5,000 Territory units in less than a year from its official local launch.
The company previously said that it has managed to sell 5,247 units of the compact crossover as of June 2021. The said number translates to a 56 percent share in the local small SUV or compact crossover segment, according to Ford PH.
The Ford Territory is showing no signs of slowing down despite already having a positive sales performance. The car brand announced that it has already sold 8,000 Territory units since its launch in August last year. This shows that the Territory is continuing to carry its sales momentum, and it has been able to capture the market’s demand for a five-seater crossover that’s packed with a number of tech features.
“From the 5,000th customer milestone last July to achieving the 8,000th customer milestone shortly after, this is truly an outstanding feat and would not be possible without the immense support from our customers, dealers, partners, and employees. We are very excited to see more Filipino customers enjoy driving a smart, safe, stylish, and feature-packed SUV,” said Ford PH managing director Michael Breen.
The Territory remains one of Ford PH's top-selling model
The Ford Territory is offered in two variants that are both powered by a 1.5-liter EcoBoost gasoline engine that delivers 141 hp and 225 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Pricing for the Ford Territory is at Php 1,277,000 for the Trend variant while the top-spec Titanium+ trim is priced at Php 1,310,000.
For the whole month of December, customers who purchase the Ford Territory can get a free 3-year scheduled service plan (SSP) as part of Ford’s Year-End Sale deals and offers.
