Ford Philippines may be busy with the launching of the next-gen iterations of the Ranger and Everest this year but it doesn’t forget to extend a helping hand to the community. The company returned to in-person volunteer activities to celebrate its annual Global Caring Month last September.

Ford Philippines held its Global Caring Month last September

Last September 9, Ford employee volunteers helped pack local vegetables and bags of rice in locally woven bags, benefitting over six hundred families. The first 300 bags were distributed to families in Gawad Kalinga (GK) communities in Naic and Trece Martines in Cavite, while the remaining 300 bags reached families in various GK communities in Caloocan City.

In partnership with the American Chamber Foundation Philippines (AmCham Foundation), Ford employee volunteers visited the Anawim Lay Mission Foundation in Rodriguez to distribute maintenance medicines, assorted house essentials, food, and wheelchairs to 68 elders last September 20.

“We are very happy to finally be able to celebrate Global Caring Month in person and participate in volunteer activities on-ground together with our partners and beneficiaries this year,” said Ford Philippines Government and Corporate Affairs Director Josie Gonzales.

“At Ford, we continue with our mission to support nation-building efforts focused on sustainable development, health and nutrition, community development, and education. We thank our employees for taking the time off their busy schedules to help implement our community programs,” added Gonzales.
