What design details make each variant unique from one another?

Ford has been on a roll recently with a series of new model launches including the all-new Ranger as well as the next-gen Ranger Raptor. The blue oval brand is not yet done as it introduced the 2022 Ford Everest

The next-gen Ford Everest features a revamped exterior, and a restyled interior that shares similarities with the all-new Ranger. The hint of resemblance can be seen in the headlight design that’s integrated with a C-clamp daytime running lights (DRLs). The horizontal upper grille bar is also one of the similarities between the all-new Ford Everest and Ranger. 

The interior of Ford’s midsize pickup and SUV also comes with the same dashboard layout that’s highlighted by a large infotainment touchscreen in the middle. Moreover, the next-gen 2022 Everest is equipped with a digital instrument cluster.

At the global launch, Ford revealed the Sport and Titanium as part of the all-new Everest’s variants. It comes with the same styling but each trim has its distinct differences. Although, Ford has yet to announce the exact specifications for its variant. But looking at the photos, you can spot what makes each variant stand out from the other. That said, here are the differences between the 2022 Ford Everest Sport and Titanium.

At first glance, one can quickly spot the differences between the Everest Sport and the Everest Titanium. The Sport variant comes with a black grille as compared to the Titanium’s two-tone play of black with chrome trims. The Sport also has an ‘Everest’ emblem on its hood and has an all black lower grille while the Titanium is accented by silver.

Another distinct difference you can spot is the design of the side mirrors. The Everest Sport comes with glossy black exterior mirrors while the Titanium has chrome. You can also see that the Everest Titanium has a sunroof, a feature that’s absent on the Everest Sport.

Turning at the side, you can see that black accents are the one that makes the Everest Sport different from the Everest Titanium. The black door handles, side vents, step board, roof rails are the design details that make the Sport trim different from the Titanium grade. The latter opted to have chrome trims instead of black. Both variants are fitted with a set of 20-inch wheels wrapped in Goodyear Territory HT tires. But, and yes you got it right, the Sport has black wheels while the Titanium has silver.

The rear of both 2022 Ford Everest variants is similar except for the black badging found on the Sport. In addition, the Sport trim comes with 4WD emblem in black while the Titanium has 4x4 emblem in chrome. And in case you’re wondering, Ford shared that the next-gen Everest has a water wading ability up to 800mm.

2022 Ford Everest Sport vs Titanium: Interior

Inside, both the Everest Sport and the Everest Titanium feature the same layout that’s highlighted by the massive infotainment touchscreen. The said touchscreen comes with Ford’s latest Sync 4A system, which comes customer-ready with its voice-activated communications, entertainment, and information systems.

Of note, Ford said that the 2022 Everest can be fitted with either a 10.1- or 12-inch touchscreens, depending on the variant. However, the blue oval brand has yet to specify which of the variants will get either of the two sizes. 

Both the Sport and the Titanium grades also have a digital instrument cluster, a feature that bids goodbye to conventional analog gauges. Looking at the photos, the Sport’s digital cluster is different from the Titanium. It seems that the Sport is integrated with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster while the Titanium has the 8-inch version.

Another design difference you can spot is the seat pattern detail. The Everest Sport has a more straightforward horizontal seat detail pattern while the Titanium has a more intricate design.

Both Everest Sport and Everest Titanium come with cruise control. Depending on the market, Ford said that the 2022 Everest can come equipped with adaptive cruise control with stop and go, and lane centering function.

Since the photos suggest that the Everest Sport and Everest Titanium come with a 4x4 drivetrain, both trims have a drive mode selector comprised of 2H, 4H, and 4L. But, the Everest Sport gets an additional drive mode, which is 4A.

2022 Ford Everest Sport vs Titanium: Engine

Ford has yet to announce the exact details in regards to the power output rating of the new Everest. But, the blue oval brand shared that the 2022 Ford Everest can be equipped with the following power units: 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 engine, single-turbo and bi-turbo 2.0-liter diesel engines, and 2.3-liter EcoBoost gasoline engine. 

Take note that the engine options will vary per market. Depending on the model, either a six-speed automatic or a 10-speed SelectShift automatic will be available. Expect more detailed specs when the 2022 Ford Everest nears its Philippine launch.
