Subaru has recently shown clear images for the two Boost Gear concept vehicles that will appear at the upcoming 2023 Tokyo Auto Salon. Both are based on the current-gen Subaru Crosstrek and the Subaru Rex.

Those two were mentioned in a previous report when the brand revealed its 2023 Tokyo Auto Salon lineup, which includes the Impreza STI prototype.
The Crosstrek Boost Gear concept in particular vastly differs from its regular model. Its front fascia looks heftier thanks to the said claddings. The same goes for the side of the concept model.
Both concepts were also given a set of knobby all-terrain tires and mudguards. It also appears that their ride heights were lifted to accommodate the larger tires. Also present on the Crosstrek Gear Boost concept is a roof rack with a built-in LED light bar.
The Rex Boost Gear concept in turn, appears to lack the abundance of plastic cladding present on the other concept car, but it does get an alternate grille design.

As a result of the added parts, both Boost Gear concept vehicles are significantly more aggressive looking than their regular model counterparts. At the same time, they also look capable of taking on adventures in the boonies.
Then again, Subaru is yet to specify if these two concepts differ from their respective base models when it comes to mechanicals. Well, save for the lifted height mentioned above.
Be aware also that the Crosstrek is still known as the Subaru XV in the Philippine market for now. Globally, it is officially known as the Crosstrek. The Subaru Rex meanwhile, is a more upscale, Japan-only badge-engineered version of the Toyota Raize.
