The new Subaru XV is a subcompact crossover made to conquer concrete roads and challenging terrains efficiently. Inside and out, it is stylishly built with innovative and exciting features everyone will enjoy. Subaru Philippines is offering one variant of the new XV, the 2.0i-S CVT with EyeSight technology. The Subaru XV carries a sticker price of Php 1.908 million, and it is available in a range of eight colors.
The Subaru XV, or known in other parts of the world as the Subaru Crosstrek, was launched at the 2012 New York International Auto Show. This vehicle was received well due to its pleasing looks paired with loads of innovations.
Subaru’s XV subcompact crossover is currently halfway through its second generation, and Motor Image Pilipinas, Inc. has introduced the facelifted version. The improved model was launched globally last year for the 2021 model year, bringing a host of aesthetic, performance, and safety enhancements for fans of the badge.
The new Subaru XV measures 4,485mm long, 1,800mm wide, and 1,615mm tall. Its front features the signature black grill paired with LED headlights, fog lamps, and LED daytime running lights. Its sides are fitted with power-folding side mirrors with turn signals while glass powered sunroof, roof spoilers, a pair of rails, and a shark fin antenna are displayed on its top.
The back of this refreshing automobile is also packed with useful features such as LED rear combination lamps and halogen rear lamps. Supporting its high ground clearance are a set of 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with 225/55 R18 tires.
The cabin of the Subaru XV is relaxing thanks to its subtle black theme with orange trimmings. Drivers will be spoiled with the eight-way power-adjustable seat (on higher variants), premium multi-function display system, and leather steering wheel.
All variants are equipped with power windows with pinch protection, map lights, vanity mirrors, front cup holders, door pockets with bottle holders, automatic air conditioning system with dust filter, and 12-volt electric outlets at the center panel and center console box. Cargo loading will never be an issue as it has a carrying capacity of 1,240 liters.
Technology & Safety Features
All variants of the new Subaru XV comes with an eight-inch display audio system with six speakers. It can be controlled using remote control switches mounted on the steering wheel. Higher variants are installed with a rearview camera.
Safety is assured as this stylish crossover is built with a good number of SRS airbags, seatbelts, ISOFIX anchors for child seats, childproof door locks on the rear, brake assist system, brake override, and an engine immobilizer. It also comes with other useful features such as the Subaru Rear Vehicle Detection system, reverse automatic braking, XMode, and EyeSight Driver Assist Technology.
Platform & Chassis
As with all Subarus, the XV comes with symmetrical all-wheel drivetrain. It uses a Macpherson Strut suspension at the front and a double wishbone at the rear. Braking is supported by ventilated discs at the front and back.
Engine & Drivetrain
The new Subaru XV is powered by a four-cylinder DOHC 16 valve gasoline engine with a Lineartronic CVT transmission. Its engine can produce 154hp and 196Nm of torque.
