From the side, this crossover gets roof rails, power-folding side mirrors, black plastic claddings, and plenty of character lines. The rear meanwhile, gets a shapely tailgate flanked by distinct-looking LED taillights.

Inside, the MG One can seat up to five occupants, and all are kept cool by an automatic single-zone or dual-zone climate control system. Rear air-conditioning vents, a trunk and front cabin 12-volt accessory outlet, four USB ports, leather seats, and a flat-bottom steering wheel are standard on this crossover.

The MG One is built on the MG Sigma Architecture. Like most of its rivals, it is a unibody vehicle with a front-engine front-wheel-drive layout.
For suspensions, the MG One uses a McPherson strut for the front and multi-link for the rear. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes for all four wheels, as well as an electronic parking brake.
The MG One uses a 1.5-liter inline-4 turbocharged gasoline engine that can push out 168 hp and 275 Nm of torque. The said engine is paired with a CVT that sends power to its front wheels.
Available colors for the 2024 MG One include Fizzy Orange, Brighton Blue, Extreme Speed Red, Moon White, Iron Oxide, and Meteorite Black. A two-tone black-colored roof option is only available for the top-spec Lux.
The MG One is up to par with its rivals when it comes to engine power, space, and interior amenities. Although it may not be the most high-tech in its class right now, the price-to-feature ratio it provides may prove to be useful in penetrating the local market.
