Since Changan re-entered the local market last 2020, the Chinese marque has been offering a five-car lineup that caters to different mobility needs. One of the models is the Changan Eado EV460, which is the brand’s answer to the growing demand for electric vehicles (EVs).

The Changan Eado has been around in the car brand’s lineup since 2012, the same year the model scored a 5-star rating at the China New Car Assessment Program (NCAP). Now, the Eado EV460 is looking to grow the EV market in the country with its electrified powertrain that boasts an above-average cruising range, according to Changan Philippines.
Under the New European Driving Cycle (PMSM), the Changan Eado EV460 offers a cruising range of 430 to 550 km while going at an average speed of 60 km/h. In comparison to the market average cruising range of 300 km, the Eado EV460’s numbers are a feat that Filipino car buyers can consider when looking for an EV.
Plush-looking cabin
Powering the Chinese EV is a Ternary (lithium-ion) battery paired with a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), making 134 horsepower and 245 Nm of torque. Like some of the EV models in the market, Changan’s entry is equipped with an innovative single pedal that allows drivers to control the vehicle using one foot only.
In terms of charging, the vehicle takes about eight hours to fully charge. This means that owners can leave their EVs plugged in overnight to maximize the cruising range the following day. For a shorter charging time, the fast-charger, which is applicable at quick-charge stations only, needs 30 minutes.
It boasts a cruising range of over 400 km
Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) is offering the Changan Eado EV460 at Php 1,828,000 via an indent order. Interested individuals can check out the Chinese EV at the Changan Pavilion at the 2022 Manila International Auto Show from April 7 to 10. It will happen at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
