The new CS35 Plus came to play.

Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) is attracting spectators at the 2022 Manila International Auto Show with the facelifted version of the CS35 Plus. It is redesigned to exude a sporty and youthful appeal that seems to be the go-to attribute in its respective segment.

The Changan CS35 Plus now comes with full-width daytime running lights (DRLs) that give the model its bold character. Just like the Changan CS75 Plus, the facelifted version of the subcompact crossover features sporty-looking red accents, which can be found on the lower front bumper and side skirts.

Turning to the sides, the vehicle is installed with 18-inch alloy wheels with a square-wheel arch design. With the blacked-out wheel fenders, the subcompact crossover exudes a rugged SUV finish. And at the rear end, the full-width tail lamps and dual exhaust pipe setup provide sporty aesthetics.

It gets sporty aesthetics inside and out

As for the interior, the sporty appeal continues with the integration of red accents on the seats and door panels. It is installed with leather seats, a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, a panoramic sunroof, and wireless charging. For the top-of-the-line Luxe, the tailgate comes with a power open/close function.

But the Chagan CS35 Plus isn’t only all for show. The Chinese marque equipped the vehicle with Safe-Tech, an advanced driver assistance system. With this, drivers can benefit from Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking System, Front Collision Warning, and Panoramic Camera System. Additionally, the model offers six airbags.

Powering the Chinese subcompact crossover is a 1.4-liter turbocharged gasoline engine good for 158 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. As standard, the engine sends power to the front wheels via a 7-speed wet-type dual-clutch transmission (DCT) with Sport Mode.

This subcompact crossover is both stylish and smart

Visitors of the 2022 MIAS can also see CMPI’s other car models available in the local lineup including the Alsvin and CS75 Plus. Additionally, the Chinese marque will showcase its entry into the growing electric vehicle (EV) market, the Changan Eado EV460. As the name suggests, the EV can offer a cruising range of 430 to 550 km.
