In recent years, luxury sports car brands have been introducing their respective SUVs, a move that was once considered impossible. One of the car brands that joined the SUV fray is British marque Aston Martin which launched the DBX SUV, the brand’s first SUV in its 107-year run in the automotive industry.

The Aston Martin DBX made its world debut in 2019. The DBX is a crossover SUV, a vehicle that can accommodate up to five occupants. In 2020, the DBX officially made its ASEAN debut during the 41st Bangkok International Motor Show in Thailand.

With that in mind, the DBX is set to arrive in the Philippines. This was announced by Aston Martin Philippines on its official Facebook page.
The Aston Martin DBX is a 5-seater midsize luxury SUV that comes with design cues similar to the Vantage. It will be joining other Aston Martin vehicles which include the Aston Martin DB11 and the Vantage.

Designer Marek Reichman shared that they stretched the DBX SUV as far out as possible while retaining the sports car appeal that’s synonymous with an Aston Martin vehicle.
As for its dimensions, the DBX SUV spans 5,039 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, and 1,680 mm in height.

A first for the British car brand
Under the hood, the Aston Martin DBX borrows Mercedes-AMG’s M177 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine capable of making 542 hp and 700 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 9-speed Tronic automatic transmission. The DBX SUV has a top speed rated at 290 km/h and can run from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds.
As of this writing, Aston Martin Philippines hasn’t disclosed the exact date of its availability. Aston Martin Philippines also hasn't put out the full specification for the PH-spec 2021 DBX, as well as its official pricing.
