Last January, Honda showed a glimpse of the all-new HR-V’s rear-end design. The teaser image suggests that the HR-V is equipped with restyled taillights that appear to be slime and sleeker as compared to the outgoing model.

The Japanese automaker also said that the next-generation HR-V will come standard with the brand’s e:HEV hybrid powertrain technology. This move is part of Honda’s ‘Electric Vision’ strategy, which aims to make all its mainstream models electrified by 2022.
Now, Honda has released a new set of teaser images that gives an additional sneak peek at some of the things to expect in the upcoming next-generation HR-V. Based on the teasers, the all-new Honda HR-V will have a refreshed dashboard layout that highlights a floating type infotainment touchscreen system.

The floating head unit gives the HR-V’s interior layout a more modern appeal as compared to the infotainment system that’s installed in the outgoing model. Moreover, the teaser suggests that the all-new HR-V’s infotainment system comes with wireless integration for Apple CarPlay.
Aside from the new infotainment system, Honda is giving us a hint that the next-generation HR-V will come with rotary climate controls instead of a touch panel. The preference to use rotary control knobs over the current touch panels could be regarded by some as a step backward design evolution. While that may be true, rotary control knobs can be considered as a more driver-oriented design. This is because a driver can navigate tactile buttons or functions easier and more convenient while on the road.

All-new Honda HR-V could come with a panoramic sunroof
Another design detail showed by the new set of teaser images is that the next-generation HR-V will come with a panoramic sunroof. Honda is hinting at the likelihood that the Honda HR-V will have a sunroof that extends all the way to the rear seats. In addition, a door panel-mounted twitter speaker is also expected to be integrated into the all-new Honda HR-V.
