The new Kona is a bit larger than the outgoing model as pointed out in the video. It is 4,350mm long, and its wheelbase spans 2,600mm. Compared to the old first-generation Kona, that’s 145mm and 60mm longer respectively.
Massive changes have also been made to the vehicle’s look. For instance, the daytime running lamps now come in the brand’s Seamless Horizon design. This means that it is a singular piece spanning the width of the vehicle. Of note, this particular design element was first seen on the all-new Hyundai Staria, and it is also present on the Stargazer seven-seater MPV.
The position of the headlamp clusters on the midline of the front fascia remains the same. It does get a totally new silhouette, and it gets more design elements, as well as some reflectors. Below the headlamp clusters are black-colored, angular winglets which we think will be exclusive to the N-Line variant.

The side of the vehicle that was spotted in the video also shows the exact same set of wheels from the official photos. They are complex-looking and sized 18 inches. The side profile also somewhat resembles the all-new Tucson with deep angles and sharp corners.
The rear of the next-generation Kona mirrors the front with a single horizontally oriented LED taillight. The brake lights, rear signal lights, and rear turn signal lights are positioned lower on the rear haunches. Also present on the vehicle is a twin-tip exhaust and an aggressive rear diffuser in keeping with the N-Line theme.
Other noteworthy things that can be gleaned from the video is that the next-gen Kona N-Line gets highway drive assist and lane keeping assist. This is indicated by the presence of front-facing sensors. There are also plenty of sensors towards the rear.

The walkaround video didn’t manage to show the interior of the Kona N-Line. But as a consolation, it did show the front cabin of the Kona EV. Present on the electrified version of the next-gen Kona are large 12.3-inch screens sitting side-by-side. These are the gauge cluster and central touchscreen. More details of this model’s interior were also presented more clearly in the next-gen Hyundai Kona’s official reveal photos.
Just like the official reveal, nothing yet is concrete regarding the next-gen Hyundai Kona’s mechanicals. So to get the latest updates on this upcoming Hyundai model, keep it here on Philkotse.
