Mazda Philippines is looking to close out this year with a bang with the introduction of the 2022 Mazda Premium Collection. It includes notable updates that are integrated into four of the Japanese automaker’s lineup, including the Mazda2, Mazda3, CX-5, and CX-30.
The 2022 Mazda Premium Collection will hit dealerships in December
The updates consist of improvements in various aspects such as comfort, design, safety, and technologies. Also, the 2022 Mazda Premium Collection enhances the powertrain of its models to help reduce global emissions. This eco-friendly refinement brings Mazda one step closer to its Sustainable Zoom Zoom 2030 Vision.
“The 2022 Mazda Premium Collection lets our exclusive clientele create an even more lasting blood with their cars as they experience only the finest products and services they deserve,” said Mazda Philippines President and CEO Steven Tan.
Starting with Mazda Philippines’ smallest model in its lineup, the Mazda2 Hatchback. For the 2022 model, the Japanese hatchback now gets LED daytime running lights (DRLs) to improve both visibility and its sophisticated look. Adding to the exterior design is its blacked-out 16-inch alloy wheels which improve the model’s sporty profile.

New to the interior is a new wireless charging pad. One can say that this is a significant addition considering that most people are on the go these days. As for safety, the hatchback is equipped with six airbags and a host of i-Activsense features such as Front and Rear Smart City Brake Support, Lane Departure Warning, Blind-Spot Monitoring, and Rear-Cross Traffic Alert.
The interior of the Mazda2 Hatchback got more innovated
The Mazda2 Hatchback is offered with a price tag of Php 1,195,000 for the sole Premium variant. It is still powered by a 1.5-liter SkyActiv-G engine that makes 109 hp and 141 Nm of torque.
The next model to receive updates under the 2022 Mazda Premium Collection is the Mazda3. The biggest change is the introduction of the e-SkyActiv-G Mild Hybrid (M Hybrid) Technology. It improves efficiency and reduces carbon emissions with the use of a new 24-volt M Hybrid Lithium-Ion battery paired with a DC/DC converter, an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG), and Regenerative Friction Brake Coordination system.

The M Hybrid battery stores the energy derived through regenerative deceleration, which is then sent to the vehicle’s electrical systems. This process minimizes energy loss and improves fuel efficiency. Meanwhile, the ISG restarts the engine in idle-stop (iStop) situations that enhance efficiency as well.
Premium finish cabin
Mazda Philippines is offering the Mazda3 M Hybrid at Php 1,695,000 for both the Fastback and Sedan body types. For the Sport variants, they come with a price tag of Php 1,495,000. All variants are now installed with a 12-speaker Bose Sound System as standard for the 2022 model.
Moving to the updated crossovers, the Mazda CX-3 receives design and feature enhancements to provide a more premium finish. To cater to different preferences, the Japanese subcompact crossover is available in two variants which are both priced at Php 1,490,000.
