Mazda Philippines is one of the car brands that bounced back as its sales grew by 38-percent in H1 2021 over the same period last year. To note, 60 percent of the carmaker’s total sales come from its crossover range which consists of the CX-3, CX-5, CX-8, CX-9, and CX-30.

The Mazda CX-8 and CX-9 midsize crossovers posted a 50-percent and 100-percent increase, respectively. An impressive feat that the CX-9 accomplished is that it is the second best-selling model in its segment priced above Php 2 million. The top spot is ruled by its smaller midsize crossover sibling, the CX-8.

“The three-row CX-9 and CX-8 continue to make strong inroads into large households and management executive segments, offering unmatched premium quality and performance typical of more expensive luxury brands at a much more accessible price level,” said Mazda Philippines President and CEO Steven Tan.

“The 5 Years Free Service Plan, a standard package that is included in all new Mazda vehicles, has brought a new level of ownership satisfaction to the customers from the start of the pandemic last year. I have heard from customers that the free service plan completes the premium experience of owning a Mazda” added Tan.
